Department of Defense

Step 2 of 3

The Department of Defense protects the security of our country, and its Total Force is composed of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force. These four components are comprised of Active Duty, Reserve and National Guard members. Tricare is the managed health care program of the Department of Defense for active duty military and their families, retirees and their families, and other beneficiaries. The National Personnel Records Center, Military Personnel Records NPRC (MPR) is the repository of military personnel, health, and medical records of discharged and deceased veterans of all services during the 20th century. NPRC (MPR) also stores medical treatment records of retirees from all services, as well as records for dependent and other persons treated at naval medical facilities. As your Senator, I am devoted to assisting our military service men and women and their families. Please understand that under federal law, I must have a request in writing before my office can make an inquiry on your behalf. To initiate your inquiry, you must complete and submit the Privacy Act Consent Form. Please fax or mail the form to my Hays office.
