WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) recently announced U.S. Army CPT(P) Bobby Brown will serve as a fellow through the FY2022 Army Congressional Fellowship Program.
“Each January, a member of our Armed Forces joins my staff for a year term to serve the people of Kansas as part of a Congressional Fellowship Program,” said Sen. Moran. “These individuals’ unique insight from their assignments across the U.S. and the world helps drive policy forward for servicemembers and supports Kansas’ military installations. I am pleased to welcome Captain Bobby Brown as a member of my staff as he works on behalf of Kansas’ strong military community and works to serve their interests in the United States Senate.”
Bobby was born and raised in Lincoln, Neb. During his nine years of service, Bobby has held tactical and operational positions in the 3rd Infantry Division, 2d Ranger Battalion, the 173rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), U.S. Army Garrison Bavaria and 7th Army Training Command. Bobby has served as an Infantry Rifle Platoon Leader, Executive Officer, Battalion Human Resources Officer, and Headquarters and Headquarters Company (HHC) Commander. In 2016, Bobby deployed to Afghanistan as the Deputy Chief of Operations for the 2d Ranger Battalion.
Before his arrival to the Army Congressional Fellowship Program, Bobby served as the HHC Commander for 7th Army Training Command and for U.S. Army Garrison Bavaria in Grafenwoehr, Germany.
