WASHINGTON D.C. – U.S. Senator Jerry Moran (R-KS) released the following statement on the shooting of U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ): 

“The shooting that took place in Tucson today is a tragedy for Congresswoman Giffords, her family, staff and the nation. The congresswoman brings Washington back to the people, and understands the value of listening to the concerns of her constituents.

“Robba and I are keeping Congresswoman Giffords, her family, the other victims – including a child – and their families in our thoughts and prayers during this trying time. I humbly ask all Kansans to join us in remembering them as we wait for additional information on this terrible tragedy.”
