South Hutchinson, Kan. – U.S. Senator Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) helped Riverview Senior Apartments celebrate their grand opening on Saturday, Sept. 7. The development is an energy-efficient, 36-unit senior-oriented apartment development, located in South Hutchinson, Kan. It is the first project in South Hutchinson to receive Low Income Housing Tax Credits, and the first multi-unit residential development in a decade.

“Access to quality, affordable housing for seniors is vital to communities across our state because it determines whether Kansans can remain in the communities they call home,” Sen. Moran said. “Riverview Senior Residences will provide convenient housing options for seniors, many of whom live on fixed incomes and face rising prices for food, transportation and health care in this challenging economy. I am also pleased this project will also create new job opportunities in the South Hutchinson community.”

Designed for adults ages 55 and up, Riverview Senior Residences will combine quality, affordable rental living with community-oriented programming and services to foster active lifestyles.
