MANHATTAN, Kan. – U.S. Senator Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) today announced a $1 million grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to aid research and data collection at Kansas State University to reduce the risk of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in cattle.

This grant is funded through USDA’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA).

“K-State plays a critical role in conducting research on how to keep our livestock healthy in order to keep consumers healthy,” said Sen. Moran. “This grant is an investment in protecting our national food supply chain while also working to develop new treatments for cattle.”
