On May 6, 2014, U.S. Senator Jerry Moran (R-Kan.), member of the Senate Veterans' Affairs Committee, demanded accountability from VA Secretary Eric Shinseki and called for his resignation if he is unwilling to enforce the change needed to the VA system and culture.
