On Monday, I voted to confirm Justice Amy Coney Barrett as an Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. I met with her shortly after her nomination by President Donald Trump to discuss her judicial philosophy, career as a professor at Notre Dame Law School and views on the law and Constitution.

Justice Amy Coney Barrett is the most impressive nominee I have interviewed and considered during my time in the Senate, and I was honored to vote to secure her confirmation to the U.S. Supreme Court. I look forward to Justice Amy Coney Barrett protecting our constitutional freedoms and liberties as a jurist and representing the Midwest on the bench.
